The heart of the system is the Supra Title™ lock and key system. The key cylinders have a Title™ lock and the matching keys carry a GE patent and are cut from the inside, making them virtually impossible to duplicate. The system is also incredibly straightforward as most boxes simply have a key, so there are no codes to remember (or forget!).
However, if you do prefer a code system, the Magnum Pushbutton and
the KeySafe Auto models offer you that option. For key-operated models,
you can order as many boxes as you need, all with the same Title™ lock
code for the key cylinders. You then order as many keys with a matching
Title™ code as you need for your authorised personnel. This now gives
them access to all the vehicles with just one key. The Title™ lock key
cylinder in the Indigo model can be replaced quickly and easily without
any tools.
The Title™ lock keys are interchangeable with all the boxes in the range
should you wish to change boxes for any reason.
Retail and service applications
Storing the keys for all the vehicles on display can pose a problem. Storing them centrally is certainly one solution, but nothing slows things down more than a salesman or any other member of staff going off to look for the right set of keys. GE Security's Supra series of Automotive Key storage boxes solves the problem by allowing you to keep the keys with the car. The boxes clip securely over a closed window and can only be opened by authorised personnel with the correct key. The same concept can be used for any temporary key storage applications in the automotive market, such as service and maintenance centers, valet parking, rental cars, auctions, exhibitions, vehicle leasing companies, etc.
Industrial applications
GE Security offers the same distributed key management system for any
other application in the automotive, truck, bus and industrial vehicle
and machinery market that requires the keys to be permanently available
(or fixed) on or near the vehicle to improve efficiency. The industrial
boxes can be fixed permanently and securely to the vehicles to which you
want to give authorised staff access at any time, by means of either the
Title lock or the TouchPoint pushbutton mechanisms. Industrial key boxes
can be used for many different applications, such as spare key guarding
for technical fleets, overnight vehicle servicing, key management for
industrial machinery, etc. They can also be used in more customized
applications where the key box protects the individual access to the
isolator or immobilizer switch of vehicles or machinery that typically
have similar or the same ignition keys.
